Assistant / Graduate Project Manager

An existing opportunity to work with a growing Design and Build contractor in London. We collaborate closely with contractors, architects, project managers, and engineers to deliver various projects, from private residential to more significant corporate developments. We ensure each project meets high standards within budget and timeframe while staying updated with industry advancements.

Person Specification and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in planning, tracking, and delivering projects on time and budget.
  2. Manage day-to-day construction activities on designated projects.
  3. Maximize profitability and client satisfaction while maintaining schedules, health and safety standards, security, and quality control.
  4. Maintain health and safety procedures, including PPE use, risk assessments.
  5. Manage site facilities and rules, coordinate sub-contractors.
  6. Complete site-based documentation and site diary accurately and timely.
  7. Communicate updates to stakeholders and ensure seamless execution.
  8. Manage project documentation and provide progress reports.
  9. Attend meetings and prepare the health and safety file.
  10. Conduct work inspections and handle other management requests.
  11. A commitment to delivering a best value service to customers.

Qualifications:

  1. Have experience as a Junior Project Manager or Project Administrator wanting to step up into a Project Manager’s role.
  2. Your experience could be from a Junior Project Manager / procurement or project administration capacity.
  3. A background in project management, construction, or a related field would be advantageous.
  4. Knowledge of building and health and safety legislation.
  5. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  6. Attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills.
  7. Someone who enjoys a good bit of problem solving.
  8. Hyper organized; capable of working on lots of projects simultaneously and prioritizing them.
  9. Calm under pressure and able to make quick decisions.
