We would like 2 years working in a relevant role within a privately owned accountancy practice. You may be working towards AAT/ACCA/ACA – or you may be QBE in which case some more experience may be required.
It is a full-time role, but would still like to hear from you if you are an excellent candidate that can only do part-time.

The Role: We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our friendly, close-knit team. You’ll get stuck into all sorts of work for our clients — preparing accounts, supporting with tax, helping businesses make sense of their numbers — and you’ll grow your own skills and career along the way. You will also help us implement needed change for the benefit of our clients in the long-term. This role is well suited to a natural “completer/finisher” type of personality.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing accounts (with some incomplete records work, and bookkeeping for different clients)
- Supporting with tax and compliance work
- Talking with clients in a helpful, clear, friendly, and professional way
- Spotting opportunities to improve things — and suggesting solutions
- Bringing fresh ideas and asking smart questions
- Using your initiative and taking ownership
About You:
- Ideally 2 years in a similar practice role (qualified or equivalent experience)
- Local. We work flexibly, but would like to see you most of the time
- A strong communicator — you listen, explain things clearly, and make people feel at ease
- Organised with an eagle eye for detail
- Proactive — you roll your sleeves up, make things happen and get things done
- Confident around accounting and tax software and HMRC processes
- And most importantly, you’ll feel at home with our values.
