The Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Bookkeeper to support a varied portfolio of clients. Alongside bookkeeping, you will gain hands‑on experience in VAT, payroll, client support, and wider accountancy services, with excellent opportunities for progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Reconciling bank, credit card, PayPal, Shopify, Amazon and other online accounts
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping systems and queries
- Assisting with payroll and HMRC correspondence
- Supporting accounts preparation and tax-related work
- Identifying discrepancies and improving processes
About You
- AAT Level 3 or 4 student (or equivalent)
- Bookkeeping experience within practice or industry
- Strong IT and communication skills
- Organised, accurate and detail-focused
- Keen to learn and develop a long‑term accountancy career
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or Sage
- VAT return preparation
