The CV-Camera Team at Huawei London Research Centre is looking for a Research Scientist with experience in Generative AI. The team is dedicated to addressing challenging computer vision tasks and providing effective solutions to real problems in application. We are looking for candidates experienced in Generative AI (GAN, Diffusion Models, Diffusion Transformers). The research scientist will conduct both academic and applied research and aim to advance the state-of-the-art in Generative AI with top-tier conference publications while collaboratively developing advanced products and services with other teams in the company.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and participating in cutting-edge research products, focusing on Generative AI.
- Devising, prototyping and patenting innovative solutions in collaboration with product teams.
- External engagement: drafting academic publications and patents.
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Computer Vision or related field (Machine Learning, Computer Graphics).
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI.
- Strong research track records, e.g. first-author papers published in top-tier conferences including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, Siggraph (Asia), etc.
- Strong coding skills, able to quickly prototype in Python.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
Desired:

- Experience with PyTorch profiler, Gradio, etc.
