Job Summary: Looking for an insight specialist with experience in computing / AI / photonic. This is a part-time role (15β20 hours per week) with flexible scheduling. Responsible for the technical insight work at Cambridge, conducting regular technical research and gathering cutting-edge technology and industry developments from multiple channels, both domestically and internationally.
- Evaluate the potential applications and value scenarios of emerging technologies, closely collaborate with various business teams, and participate in the planning of the next technical direction, driving the transformation of technical insights into actionable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- To keep track of the latest developments of local academic organizations and SME/spin out companies and summarize technical research trends within the conferences and activities of these organizations.
- To gain insight into future technology trends in related fields, and output technology insight reports.
- To support academic activities, such as conferences, workshops, etc. if needed.
Person Specification:
- Required: Ph.D. students, with background in Computer science. Computing / AI / photonic related background is preferred.
- Passionate about exploring new technologies and innovations.
- Proactive, demonstrates excellent communication interpersonal skills, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Desired: Fluent English is required for this role. Knowledge of additional languages is highly desirable. Possess an international perspective and mindset.
- Strong logical thinking; good at summarizing reports.
