HTZ specializes in designing and manufacturing automated laboratory instruments for a variety of applications, including laboratory liquid handling, sample identification tracking, and customized robotic mechanisms. Serving the Clinical, Industrial, and Pharma markets, HTZ delivers innovative solutions to laboratories worldwide through a strong network of global distributors and OEM partners. Their products ensure precision, data security, and seamless integration with LIS/LIMS databases to meet specialized industry needs. HTZ's advanced technology supports critical processes such as autoimmune disease and infectious disease testing, oncology diagnostics, and pharmaceutical pipetting systems.
This is a full-time, on-site Service Engineer position based in East Grinstead. The Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting equipment issues, performing maintenance and repair on HTZ’s automated laboratory instruments, and ensuring optimal system performance. Maintaining effective communication with clients to address their service needs is essential.
Additional duties include assisting the Production team by performing test and commissioning of instruments prior to shipment.
Qualifications
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing complex mechanical, software, or electronic issues.
- Field service expertise, including working with automated systems and conducting on-site service tasks.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, writing service reports, and providing clear technical guidance.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repair on precision equipment and systems.
- Technical support experience in resolving customer issues effectively and efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and Microsoft Office software desirable.
- A degree or certification in Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Prior experience in the laboratory or medical device industry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed for on-site service.
