This is a full-time, on-site Service Engineer position based in East Grinstead. The Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting equipment issues, performing maintenance and repair on HTZ’s automated laboratory instruments, and ensuring optimal system performance. Maintaining effective communication with clients to address their service needs is essential. Additional duties include assisting the Production team by performing test and commissioning of instruments prior to shipment.
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing complex mechanical, software, or electronic issues.
- Field service expertise, including working with automated systems and conducting on-site service tasks.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, writing service reports, and providing clear technical guidance.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repair on precision equipment and systems.
- Technical support experience in resolving customer issues effectively and efficiently.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and Microsoft Office software desirable.
- A degree or certification in Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Prior experience in the laboratory or medical device industry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed for on-site service.
