The business offers a broad range of technical solutions to a growing number of clients across regulated industries, including Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial, Energy & Nuclear plus Life Sciences & Chemical industries. The business is head-quartered in Teesside with offices in the North West and is well placed to serve customers in its’ chosen markets across the North of England as well as Scotland and elsewhere.
Often secured through bid & tender-led processes, services provided range from digital transformation, systems integration (including robotics), process controls, monitoring systems to regulatory compliance services. With a hard-earned enviable reputation established over more than 30 years, the business to appoint the right Business Development Manager to support the rapid growth of the business by maximising the significant opportunities now being presented in a number of target sectors.
You will be an enthusiastic and proven solution sales professional with a background in the clients’ target sectors and with a solid understanding of solution sales of technical services / systems integration. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing Director and technical colleagues, you will lead the business growth plan from the front, delivering new contract wins as well as organic growth from existing client relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to make their mark on this highly regarded and rapidly growing business and, for the right individual, there is the real opportunity to progress quickly in to a management role.

Key Deliverables:
- Deliver new business sales goals as part of the business’ long-term strategic growth plan
- Delivering against sales revenue and margin KPI’s from both new & existing client accounts
- Develop prioritised tactical sales plans for all core target sectors, including bid & tender opportunities
- Increase current customer sales revenues by maximising established reputation and competitive advantage
- Systematically explore and develop new market opportunities in prioritised sectors
- Quickly build confidence and maintain trust with technical colleagues and customers alike
