The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, and breakdown/corrective maintenance for a range of industrial x-ray systems, digital radiography and film processors supplied to customers around the UK. Training will be provided.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Repair a wide range of Industrial X-Ray equipment, CR and DR equipment, x-ray safety systems and film processors.
- Routine Maintenance - carry out maintenance in line with service contract requirements on X-ray equipment.
- Carry out equipment upgrades during routine maintenance or as instructed.
- Work with other members of the service team to resolve customer service-related problems.
- Take ownership of site/system issues to develop a plan to resolve with the aid of technical management.
- Escalate to their Team Leader or Service Delivery Manager, in a timely manner, any serious or potentially unresolved issues which may affect safety, compliance and customer/supplier relationships.
- Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are always adhered to, reporting any potential hazards to the senior management team.
- Build customer relationships and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of installing, servicing and commissioning electro-mechanical systems in the field.
- Qualified to HNC/HND (Level 4-5) in an electrical or electronic engineering or design subject or equivalent.
- Skilled in electrical, electronic and electro-mech diagnostics and fault finding.
- Skilled in mechanical and wiring assembly.
- Customer service focussed.
- A “Can Do” attitude with a willingness to both learn and share knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills both with teammates and customers.
- Working comfortably within a small team and independently.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Good Microsoft office application skills.
- Experience in using CRM systems is desirable.
- Structured approach with attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with problem solving approach.
- Be able to develop an understanding of the company's product and service range and their applications.
- Driving License Essential.
- Passport Essential.
- Upon successful completion of probationary period, a company car allowance is available.
