Role Overview
As a Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of a specific section of the kitchen and ensure all dishes are prepared to an exceptional standard. Working under the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in maintaining the efficiency and consistency of service while mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and run a designated kitchen section with minimal supervision
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high standard in line with menu specifications
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation at all times
- Supervise and support Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs in your section
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation, ensuring full compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
- Report equipment issues or health/safety risks to management immediately
- Participate in stock rotation, inventory checks, and deliveries as needed
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Proven ability to manage a section independently and work effectively in high-pressure kitchens
- Excellent time management and communication skills
