We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager / Operations Manager to lead a specialist adult social care service in Wembley. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Care Manager, Deputy Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager, or existing CQC Registered Manager who is ready to take ownership of a regulated service while also overseeing wider day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care, leading staff teams, ensuring CQC compliance, and supporting smooth service delivery across respite, day service, and client transport operations.
Essential Requirements- CQC management experience
- Level 5, or working towards Level 4/5
- Adult social care experience
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, or similar senior care role
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations, inspections, quality statements, safeguarding and care compliance
- Experience in adult social care, supported living, respite care, residential care, day services, or another regulated care setting
- Experience managing staff, supervisors, coordinators, senior care workers, or operational teams
- Confident handling audits, care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding records and compliance documentation
- Strong leadership, organisation, communication and decision-making skills
- Good IT skills, with experience using care management systems
- Ability to manage a busy service with flexibility, professionalism and attention to detail
As the Registered Manager / Operations Manager, you will act as the CQC Registered Manager for a specialist respite service and ensure the service remains compliant with CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act, Fundamental Standards and internal policies. You will lead on audits, quality assurance, risk management, care planning and safeguarding standards, while maintaining a safe, well-led, caring, responsive and effective service. You will oversee the daily running of respite care, day care and related service operations, ensuring service users receive person-centred, safe and high-quality care. This will include managing referrals, assessments, care plans, reviews, risk assessments, occupancy, care outcomes and operational performance. You will also support the safe and efficient coordination of client transport, working closely with coordinators, drivers, support staff and senior team members to ensure services run smoothly. A key part of the role will involve leading staff teams, providing supervision, appraisals, coaching and performance support, while promoting a positive, accountable and professional working culture. You will maintain accurate records using care management systems and report to senior management on staffing, occupancy, compliance, transport and service performance. You will also support continuous improvement, budget awareness, cost control and service development.
