Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Store / Warehouse Assistant within a reputable furniture re-use charity warehouse.
Storeroom2010 enables disadvantaged families to be able to affordably furnish their homes and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting and greeting customers on arrival.
- Ensure the warehouse and retail areas are clean, organised, and free of obstructions particularly during trading hours. Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Complete cash/card/telephone payments.
- Work alongside driver/staff and volunteers to organise the warehouse.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and collections – you must be physically fit.
- Represent the charity in a professional and courteous manner.
The smooth operation of storeroom requires that you are flexible and able to fill the role of any other staff member or volunteer, including at short notice assisting with the collection/delivery service as a driver’s mate.
