IXORA Hotel and Spa opened in December 2024, nestled in the breathtaking surroundings of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park. We are looking for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager who shares our passion for hospitality and world-class customer service. We value hard-working, positive team players committed to delivering an incredible experience for our guests.

Job Purpose

We are looking for an inspirational leader with experience in fast-paced and volume operations. Our destination bar and restaurant is a key feature of the hotel, and we seek someone to take this operation forward and establish the venue in the local and wider market. Candidates should have hotel or high-street/retail restaurant & bar experience, have led a large team, and can demonstrate proven success in their previous roles. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to work in an iconic hotel.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the team has the appropriate tools, training, and equipment to deliver the products/propositions consistently to the required standard.
  • Schedule self, team, and contractors to deliver optimal levels of productivity and maintain purchasing cycle in line with forecasted activity.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of requirements between the customer and operational groups.
  • Ensure all team members are fully equipped with the tools, skills, behaviours, and knowledge required before customer contact.
  • Work with the Kitchen and F&B Leadership to exceed customer expectations and optimise revenue.
  • Ensure that all food and drink products delivered to customers meet the standard specification.
  • Optimise revenue opportunities in each customer interaction while meeting all productivity guidelines.
  • Maintain prescribed processes, systems, and standards.
  • Build relationships and rapport with guests and resolve any guest problems.
  • Lead from the front during service periods; coach and encourage others.
  • Maintain productivity and expense performance in line with targeted improvement.
  • Ensure robust security related to stock, cash, and equipment, adhering to all standard department procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in the food and beverage department.
  • Basic food hygiene qualification.
  • First Aid at Work.
