We’re looking for a motivated, compassionate individual who is structured and committed to providing outstanding customer experiences. You would be joining us in the role of Bank Controller/Planner, where you will be responsible for planning and controlling the daily movement of medically eligible patient journeys to and from their healthcare appointments in our non-emergency ambulances. The aim of this role is to ensure precise controlling and planning of the ambulances, to allow eligible patients to get to and from their appointments in a timely manner, whilst ensuring mobility requirements of the booked journey are met.
We are offering bank positions (zero contracted hours), which operate under a casual agreement. You may be offered shifts when they become available, and you have the flexibility to accept shifts as and when you choose.
Summary Of Main Duties Include:
- Planning and controlling the daily movement of ambulance journeys transporting eligible patients to and from their healthcare appointments.
- Allocating physical resources and patient journeys using the Cleric System to our crew members and Volunteer Car Service workers.
- Liaising with healthcare professionals and hospital departments to ensure that we are able to maximise the utilisation of the available vehicles and staff.
- Building effective relationships with crews in order to ensure the best possible patient experience.
- Working within a team to make decisions about transportation which deliver the best outcomes for patients.

- Experience of working in a similar transport control environment, using logistical and planning skills.
- Ability to plan appropriate journey routes for drivers.
- Problem solving ability for any challenges that may occur during day control.
- Customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations.
- Good geographic knowledge of the area.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
