What Can You Expect? You would be joining us in the role of Bank Ambulance Care Assistant (B-ACA), delivering a vital service to our patients. Being a Bank ACA is so much more than just driving. It’s about providing safe, reliable and friendly transport to vulnerable patients who need it the most. It’s a role that requires patience, empathy and resilience as, whilst the role is incredibly rewarding, it can be physically and emotionally demanding. We have bank (zero hour) positions available, offered on a casual basis, meaning shifts will be offered as and when they become available and you have the flexibility to choose which shifts you would like to accept. We have a variety of early, mid, and late shifts, across any day from Monday to Sunday. Further details will be discussed during the interview.

Summary Of Main Duties Include:

  • Patient Transport & Care - Safely drive patients to and from healthcare appointments while providing reassurance, support, and compassionate care throughout their journey.
  • Assisting with Mobility - Helping patients with mobility needs, including safe lifting, use of specialist equipment, and transferring patients to and from vehicles or their homes.
  • Communication & Compassion - Communicating clearly and kindly with patients, families, and healthcare staff, maintaining dignity, respect, and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Vehicle Checks & Basic Administration - Carrying out daily vehicle checks, keeping all equipment clean and ready in line with Infection Prevention and Control procedures, and ensuring that any incidents and/or journey details are accurately recorded as required.
