What Can You Expect?
You will join as an Assistant Psychologist - working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (flexible), reporting to the Mental Health Operations Manager. This hybrid role combines home working with travel to Bodmin, Exeter and Plymouth.
You will play a key role in supporting the clinical quality of a specialist mental health transport service, helping to enhance a trauma-informed, least restrictive approach to care. Working alongside the Clinical Psychologist and Operations Manager, you will support clinical administration, data collection and compliance, research and evaluation, teaching and CPD, and staff debriefs following complex or sensitive journeys. You will also assist with journey planning, service feedback, bids, and community projects, with opportunities for clinical work and facilitating expert-by-experience groups.
This role requires a proactive, compassionate individual with strong organisational, auditing and interpersonal skills, committed to promoting best practice, upholding human rights, and achieving positive outcomes for service users and staff.
Summary Of Main Duties Include:
- Contribute to evaluation and research projects, including data analysis and supporting journal article writing.
- Ensure the collection and analysis of regular patient and professional feedback.
- Contribute to lessons learnt and ongoing service improvement.
- Support audits, compliance, and performance monitoring.
- Support mandatory and continued professional development training.
- Support managers with clinical compliance, including tracking least restrictive practice.
- Support wellbeing and service improvement projects across the organisation

We are Looking for Great People Who:
- Have an upper second-class honours degree or higher in psychology.
- Understanding of mental health services and trauma informed care.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities (written and spoken).
- Experience with clinical auditing and compliance processes.
- Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Take part in regular clinical supervision with senior clinical psychologist.
