You would be joining us in the role of Patient Transport Driver (PTD), delivering a vital service to our patients. Being a PTD is so much more than just driving. This is a part-time role working 27.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern. You will work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, late shifts, and nights. Shifts may fall on any day of the week, including weekends and public holidays, so flexibility is essential.

Summary Of Main Duties Include:

• Patient Transport & Care: Safely drive patients to and from healthcare appointments while providing reassurance, support, and compassionate care throughout their journey.
• Assisting with Mobility: Helping patients with mobility needs, including safe lifting, use of specialist equipment, and transferring patients to and from vehicles or their homes.
• Communication & Compassion: Communicating clearly and kindly with patients, families, and healthcare staff, maintaining dignity, respect, and patient confidentiality at all times.
• Vehicle Checks & Basic Administration: Carrying out daily vehicle checks, keeping all equipment clean and ready in line with Infection Prevention and Control procedures, and ensuring that any incidents and/or journey details are accurately recorded as required.

We are Looking for Great People Who:

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Willingness ability to complete HTG-UK’s mandatory training on an ongoing basis.
• Experience in a customer facing role, preferably within the care industry.
• Experience of working as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to show empathy, patience, and compassion towards patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Good physical fitness to safely assist with moving and handling patients and equipment.
• Ability to follow procedures and health & safety guidelines.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
• Basic problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Good timekeeping and reliability.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and respect confidentiality.
• Basic IT skills or familiarity with electronic record-keeping systems.
