Sous chef (£45k) required for a fresh food Gastro pub in the Windsor area (between Windsor and Maidenhead). They have amazing fish and meats that arrive every week, and you and the other chefs will create the weekend specials with the fish or meat that is in season.
This role is for foodie chefs; you must enjoy fresh food and creating specials. The kitchen has a team of 7 chefs.
The role: As a sous chef, you will work under the head chef to run the kitchen. You will help to create the weekend specials every week with the meat or fish that is in season. You will ensure everything in the kitchen runs smoothly and will also run a section. This role will include all the normal sous chef duties.
Experience: We are looking for a sous chef from a fresh food background. You will have good knife skills, be able to deal with different types of fish and meats, and must be able to fillet/butcher on site. You will be either a sous chef or a junior sous chef looking to step into a sous chef position.
