Senior Sous Chef required for a fresh food restaurant in Newcastle. This role is ideal for a sous chef ready to step into a senior sous chef role. The standards are of a good standard and all fresh food, cooking a rosette level of product.
The role
As a senior sous chef, you will ensure the section you are working on is ready for service, supporting the head chef in the running of the kitchen. This is a hands-on role, including running a section and some days running the pass. You will prep the fridge ready for service and cook to a good rosette level in service. This role will include all the standard senior sous chef duties.
Experience
As a senior sous chef, you will have a good standard, fresh food background. You will have good knife skills, attention to detail, and a passion for good standards. You will have a good understanding of rosette level of cookery.
