Freight forwarder required in the Heathrow area for a time critical department that imports and exports very time critical items including fresh produce. This department ensures all the customs paperwork is ready, the onward transport has arrived on time, and any storage facilities are booked.
The role involves being a freight forwarding coordinator for time critical produce, ensuring all documents and everything is in place for when freight lands and takes off. You will ensure the express pick up and drop off goes very smoothly, as any delays at customs clearance can result in goods either arriving late or going off, especially if they are perishable goods. This role covers CDS customs clearance and includes both imports and exports.
Experience: We are looking for a time critical freight forwarding coordinator with a customs clearance background and knowledge of how to deal with time critical logistics to ensure there are no hold ups in the smooth transit.
This is an office-based role, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. Time Critical Imports, Exports and Cross Trade CDS customs entry knowledge is essential, ideally covering both imports and exports. Salary circa £40,000.
