Trade Compliance Co-ordinator / Customs Compliance Co-ordinator required for a freight forwarder in the Heathrow area, this freight forwarder imports and exports goods via air and ocean. The Compliance Co-ordinator will ensure all the paperwork is correct. You will be responsible for the Trade Compliance, CITES and Customs.

The role:

  • Complete the Product Libraries.
  • Determine correct tariff classifications for all supported brands within the Key Account function moving from the EU as required.
  • Issue country specific guidance (for the UK) to the business on additional import requirements for stock products predominantly from the EU.
  • Provide support on internal projects where input, involvement or expertise where Trade Compliance is needed.
  • Audit and monitor entries to ensure they are compliant with local import and export legislation, as well as to support brand KPI audit requirements.
  • Ensure all operational activities are completed and followed up correctly in accordance with SOPs and organisational policy.
  • Help facilitate Imports and Exports of non-stock goods, completing and supplying documents and declarations.
  • Liaise with HMRC and assist with maintenance on customs procedures.
  • Implement and improve new efficiencies in client workflows.
