Business Development Manager required for a freight forwarding company - Air/Ocean freight for the Transatlantic market. This role is remote based (meeting clients, home based on non-meeting days and one team day in Manchester every two weeks). This company is growing very fast, and this is a new role being created to increase the capacity within the team in the south. This company is a logistics and freight company with various parts to the business.

Salary: £50k + bonus + car allowance + mobile phone + laptop. This is a field/remote based role; you must be able to be flexible to meet clients and attend a team day in Manchester every two weeks.

The role: As a Business Development Manager, you will work on winning new business and increasing repeat business and extra spend per client. The role will cover Air and Ocean freight, and it can be based anywhere within England. There is one team meeting every two weeks in Manchester, covering the Transatlantic patch. This is a varied sales role and will include all the standard duties of a Business Development Manager.

Experience: We are looking for a Business Development Manager from a logistics background with an air/ocean freight sales background. You must be able to attend a team day in Manchester every two weeks and do client onsite meetings each week.
