The key purpose of this role is to lead worship at HTB across various sites for Sunday services, midweek events and HTB Group events. Supporting the HTB Worship volunteer team and overseeing relevant administration of HTB Worship, communicating with team and staff to execute events and projects.
Applications for this role will close on Sunday 20th September. The salary for this position is Β£28,000 pro rata and it is a 12 month fixed term contract, part-time 17.5 hours per week role.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for regularly leading worship across all HTB services and related mid-week events
- Modelling and instilling HTB's culture and vision to the Worship Team, leading with positivity, encouragement, and a servant heart
- Helping in the organisation and running of HTB Worship and HTB Creative events
- Support with Planning Centre and other related administration
- Helping to create rotas for services and related events
- Holding communication with staff and volunteers regarding services and events
- Assisting the Director of Worship in any way needed to implement the vision of the team
- Assisting the Director of Worship in their role overseeing the HTB Network of Worship Leaders through strategic thinking, communication and helping execute events
The following skills and experience form the minimum requirements for the role:
- Demonstrate the desire to be a lead worshipper: a worshipping heart with a mature faith
- Demonstrate and articulate a call into ministry
- Experience leading worship and working with worship teams in a variety of contexts
- Clear musical gifting and understanding of music theory with the desire to constantly improve
- Strong understanding of music theory and contemporary worship music
- Ability to lead worship from the acoustic guitar.
- Desire to serve the leadership of the church and get behind the vision
- Flexibility to adapt to a range of pastoral situations
