MTL Advanced is a Yorkshire-based , engineering and manufacturing company operating from a 390,000 sq. ft. facility in Rotherham.
We have invested in an extensive range of technology and equipment and provide services to a range of OEM’s from leading industries including defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling and rail.
Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.
Continued expansion across the business has created an opportunity for a Junior Contract Estimator to join our team to work on a diverse portfolio of prestigious engineering projects.
You will play a key role in preparing and submitting quotation’s from enquires received into the business.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Working from customer drawings to produce detailed quotations.
- Producing accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings.
- Create full routing information including labour and material costing.
- Liaise with sub-contract suppliers as required.
- Input all information into the businesses MRP system in order to produce quotations.
- Monitoring enquiries within the company and speaking directly with customers.
ABOUT YOU
- Ideally completed or due to complete an Engineering based apprenticeship.
- Ability to work with Engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Strong attention to detail
- An excellent level of IT ability including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task and manage a busy workload
- Take part in training programmes to increase work knowledge.
