Working Location: Darwen, Lancashire

Days: Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm & early finish on a Friday 8am–2pm

This role involves working on one-off, high-specification projects supporting industries such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Rail, and others. We are looking for candidates with exceptional technical ability who can consistently deliver work to tight tolerances and deadlines, while strictly adhering to Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) standards, including full traceability of all work completed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Time-served fabricator with a strong work ethic
  • Experience in heavy engineering environments
  • Skilled in MIG and TIG welding (Ferrous and non-ferrous materials)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Comfortable welding various materials and thicknesses – especially stainless steel from 1mm to 12mm
  • Control route cards and weld schedules transferring the daily data
  • Able to follow a WPS
  • Carry out coded welding to pass 100% NDT including volumetric testing
  • Must be able to work alone or part of a team when required
