Network & Systems Engineer to join our IT team at H&T. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on network and infrastructure engineering across our UK operations while working as part of
One First Cash IT
, a collaborative international team supporting colleagues across the UK and US.
You'll play a key role in maintaining the availability, security and performance of our network and server environments, ensuring our stores and support functions remain connected and supported.

- What You'll Be Doing
- Design, implement and support LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN solutions across our UK estate.
- Act as the UK technical lead for network infrastructure and complex connectivity issues.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server, Hyper-V and Active Directory environments.
- Ensure network and server security through effective patching, vulnerability management and firewall administration.
- Support business-critical platforms, including our retail and point-of-sale systems.
- Collaborate with UK and US colleagues on infrastructure projects, upgrades and continuous improvements.
- Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams and operational procedures.
- Support regulatory and compliance requirements including FCA, GDPR, PCI-DSS and SOX controls.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years' experience in a Network and Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN environments.
- Excellent knowledge of networking technologies and protocols including OSPF, BGP, DNS and DHCP.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V and Active Directory.
- Experience managing network security, firewalls and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments and ITIL-based service management frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across geographically dispersed teams.
Desirable
- Experience with BIG-IP LTM, ASM, GTM/DNS and BIG-IQ.
- Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or Fortinet certifications.
- Experience with Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
- Power Shell or Python scripting experience.
- Knowledge of backup, storage and monitoring technologies.
- ITIL or ISO 27001 certifications.
- Experience within retail, financial services or other multi-site environments.
