A Typical Day As a Reconciliation Executive

No two days look exactly the same here, and that’s part of what makes it work. As a Reconciliation Executive, you’ll play a key part in keeping things moving for our customers, suppliers and The Pros around you. You’ll take ownership, solve problems properly, and work with people across the business to make things simpler, faster and better. You’ll be trusted to get stuck in, make decisions, and see things through.

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct monthly reconciliation of customer contract data across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Analyse contract information including rates, quantities, hire periods, equipment and charges to identify discrepancies.
• Investigate data variances and determine root causes, including system issues, process failures and manual errors.
• Work closely with suppliers, Finance, Operations and internal stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies.
• Manage corrective actions through to completion, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed timescales.
• Validate reconciled data and provide sign-off to support accurate and timely monthly invoicing.
• Maintain data integrity across systems, ensuring all adjustments are documented and audit compliant.
• Identify recurring trends and process improvement opportunities, helping to prevent future discrepancies and enhance operational efficiency.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who knows how to get things done and works well with others to make it happen.

• Experience in reconciliation, finance, data analysis or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when working with large volumes of complex data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, and confidence working across multiple systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• A highly organised and proactive approach, able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and drive issues through to resolution.
