At HSS ProService, we’ve built a smarter way for businesses to get the tools, equipment, and materials they need. Our marketplace connects customers with trusted suppliers quickly and easily, helping major projects operate faster, smarter, and more sustainably. We’re transforming a traditional industry through technology, service, and bold thinking — and nowhere is that more visible than within our Infrastructure division, supporting some of the UK’s most significant projects including HS2 and Lower Thames Crossing.
The team you'll join:
You’ll join our growing Infrastructure team — a fast-paced, commercially driven group working at the centre of some of the UK’s largest and most complex construction projects. This is a team that works collaboratively, thinks proactively, and thrives on solving problems for customers operating in live, high-pressure environments. We move quickly, support each other, and work closely with operational, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver exceptional results on critical infrastructure programmes.
The impact you'll have:
As a Key Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of key infrastructure customer relationships across HS2, LTC, and other major projects throughout the South. You’ll be responsible for driving account growth, delivering operational excellence, and becoming a trusted partner to customers operating on major live sites. This is a highly visible role where you’ll balance relationship management, project coordination, commercial awareness, and operational problem-solving. This is not a traditional desk-based KAM role. You’ll spend time on customer sites, building relationships with procurement teams, site managers, operational stakeholders, and supply chain partners to ensure projects are delivered smoothly and customers receive exceptional service.
A Typical Day as a Key Account Manager:
- Managing day-to-day delivery across major infrastructure projects and key contractor accounts
- Building strong relationships with site teams, procurement leads, plant teams, and operational stakeholders
- Conducting regular customer visits across HS2, LTC, and wider infrastructure projects throughout the South
- Coordinating plant, equipment, consumables, and service requirements across live project environments
- Working closely with operational and supply chain teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Monitoring KPIs, SLAs, and service delivery performance to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
- Identifying operational improvements and opportunities to enhance customer experience and commercial performance
- Supporting project mobilisations, planning activity, forecasting, and reporting
- Identifying opportunities to grow accounts through additional products, services, and solutions across the HSS ProService offering
- Providing clear updates on project risks, opportunities, actions, and account performance
What You'll Bring:
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, hire, utilities, rail, civils, or industrial supply environments
- Strong experience managing key customer relationships in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness with the confidence to identify growth opportunities and drive account performance
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities across complex live projects
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong operational awareness
- Confidence working both strategically and hands-on within customer environments
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South regularly
Experience supporting major infrastructure projects such as HS2, highways, rail, energy, civils, or utilities would be highly advantageous.
What You’ll Get Back:
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Your birthday each year as annual leave to spend how you want to!
- Healthcare Cashback Plan with money off on things like dentist, opticians including sports massage and wellbeing costs too
- Flexible and hybrid working - we appreciate you do your best work in different environments
- Head office free onsite gym
- One day per year, you'll have the option to contribute to local voluntary work, an opportunity to give back to your community
- Training and development opportunities to keep growing your skills
