The Role of aTest and Run Operative
As a Test and Run Operative, you’ll service and repair our hire equipment, ensuring it’s safe, reliable, and ready for use. You’ll maximise workshop productivity, report product damage in line with Health & Safety guidelines, and ensure costs are recovered following company procedures.
What does the Test and Run Operativeinvolve?
- Service and repair the full range of hire equipment and tools, ensuring quality, safety, reliability, and cost-effective availability of hire stock.
- Maximise workshop productivity to meet company targets.
- Identify and report product defects related to health, safety, and equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate service records by updating the internal system (Spanner/DSP) and completing daily worksheets.
What do you need to succeed as a Test and Run Operative?
- Experience in maintaining both mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Positive, solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in using computer systems with good numerical skills; manual handling experience is a plus.
