We’re looking for a Supplier Partnerships & Onboarding Manager to strengthen and develop our outsourced training network.
The impact you’ll have
- Lead and manage a team that onboards, maintains, and develops our outsourced training supplier network.
- Ensure suppliers are compliant, commercially suitable, operationally effective, and capable of delivering high standards.
- Build strong relationships with training providers across the UK, support supplier performance, identify network gaps, and ensure we have the right suppliers in the right locations for business growth.
- The role combines leadership, supplier relationship management, operational oversight, compliance, and commercial awareness and includes travel for supplier meetings, site visits, onboarding activities, reviews, and internal business meetings.
Typical day
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the Supply Chain Team.
- Set objectives, monitor performance, and support ongoing development.
- Ensure workloads are effectively managed and service levels are maintained.
- Act as an escalation point for supplier onboarding, compliance, and operational issues.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Supplier Partnerships & Onboarding
- Manage the onboarding and approval process for new training suppliers.
- Assess supplier capability, compliance, geographical coverage, quality standards, and commercial suitability.
- Conduct supplier meetings, site visits, and onboarding reviews.
- Identify gaps within the supplier network and support the sourcing of new providers.
- Ensure onboarding timescales are managed effectively and delays are addressed.
- Supplier Compliance & Governance
- Oversee supplier records, approvals, certifications, insurance documentation, and compliance evidence.
- Ensure supplier information remains accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Support internal and external audits through provision of accurate supplier documentation.
- Monitor documentation expiry dates and ensure compliance requirements are maintained.
- Implement controls that improve data quality and governance.
- Supplier Performance & Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with training providers across the UK.
- Support supplier review meetings and performance discussions.
- Monitor supplier responsiveness, service quality, compliance standards, and operational performance.
- Escalate supplier concerns and support corrective action plans where required.
- Ensure suppliers understand and meet HSS Training expectations.
- Operational & Commercial Support
- Work closely with Training Plus, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure supplier capacity supports customer demand.
- Help resolve supplier availability, booking, and fulfilment issues.
- Support supplier pricing management and commercial decision‑making.
- Provide supplier information to support tenders, customer proposals, and business growth opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier coverage, responsiveness, quality, and value.
What you’ll bring
- Experience managing supplier networks, third‑party providers, procurement support, or supplier onboarding functions.
- Previous experience leading, coaching, or supervising a team.
- Strong administration, compliance, and record management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building abilities.
- Experience managing supplier performance and service standards.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Confidence challenging poor processes, incomplete information, or supplier non‑compliance.
- Experience using CRM systems, supplier databases, training management systems, or similar platforms.
- Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
