You’ll join our Customer Service team, a fast-paced and highly collaborative group that sits at the heart of the customer journey. Working closely with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across the business, the team plays a vital role in ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently, orders run smoothly, and customers receive the service they expect. No two days are the same, and you’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to solve problems, deliver results, and continually improve the customer experience.
A typical day:
- Respond to customer enquiries and quotations within agreed service levels
- Obtain supplier pricing and prepare accurate, competitive quotations
- Manage customer orders from quote through to delivery and completion
- Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the sales and fulfilment process
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Provide regular updates on quotations, lead times, deliveries, and order progress
- Resolve customer queries and issues quickly, taking ownership through to completion
- Monitor deliveries and proactively manage overdue orders to ensure positive customer outcomes
- Maintain accurate records across multiple systems and CRM platforms
- Manage and maintain a sales pipeline to support revenue growth opportunities
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Ensure all documentation and records are accurate and compliant with company procedures
- Prioritise workload effectively in a busy environment, balancing customer needs and business priorities
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a customer service, sales support, account management, or operational coordination role
- Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping customers
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
- Confidence working across multiple systems and learning new technology quickly
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience within equipment hire, construction, building materials, or a similar industry
- Experience using CRM systems
- Knowledge of HSS ProService products and services
- An understanding of equipment, materials, or technical product specifications
