Role Purpose
The Industry Market Unit Director for Manufacturing is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, growing, and executing HSO's manufacturing go-to-market strategy. The role brings manufacturing industry expertise together with a modern understanding of Microsoft's cloud, data, and AI-driven business applications to drive measurable business outcomes for clients. This role leads with industry and business process rather than technology alone. Manufacturing organisations are increasingly focused on resilience, supply-chain visibility, sustainability, and data-driven decision-making. The IMU Director ensures HSO's manufacturing proposition aligns to these priorities while leveraging the full Microsoft ecosystem.
Scope and Accountability
- Full P&L and revenue responsibility for the Manufacturing IMU
- Ownership of key manufacturing accounts and long-term account development strategies
- Executive-level engagement with manufacturing clients and partners
- Leadership of business consultants, solution architects, and virtual teams aligned to Manufacturing
- Contribution to UK and Group-level industry strategy and growth plans
Key Responsibilities
- Industry and market leadership, including defining and evolving HSO's Manufacturing industry proposition and acting as HSO's senior Manufacturing representative with customers, Microsoft, and industry bodies
- Go-to-market and sales enablement through driving manufacturing-specific initiatives, campaigns, account strategies, and supporting bid and sales activity
- Solution and capability development across Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, Customer Engagement, Power Platform, Azure data, analytics, AI, and Copilot
- Client and delivery oversight, including maintaining long-term executive relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and value realisation
- Leadership and collaboration across IMU Directors, Solution Line Directors, and Shared Services
Key Requirements
- Significant experience within the Manufacturing sector
- Strong understanding of manufacturing trends including supply-chain resilience, smart manufacturing, and sustainability
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology landscapes, including cloud, data, and AI
- Ability to engage and influence at executive (C-level)
- Strong commercial, leadership, and P&L management capability

Location
This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home combined with office collaboration as required.
Hours
Normal office hours are 09:00 to 18:00 (with one hour for lunch).

The salary package will be discussed during the interview process and based on current market benchmarks and individual qualifications.
