HSL Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Laser Operator / CNC Laser Operator to join an award-winning sheet metal manufacturing company based in Nuneaton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, family-run engineering business that specialises in high-quality laser cutting and fabrication services using state-of-the-art equipment.

If you have experience operating laser cutting machines, CNC machines, or working within a sheet metal / engineering environment, we would love to hear from you.

You will work a weekly rotating shift pattern (40 hours per week):

  • Morning Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm
  • Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am

As a Laser Machine Operator, your duties will include:

  • Setting and operating CNC laser cutting machines
  • Operating 2-Axis and Flatbed Laser Machines
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Performing basic machine maintenance and cleaning each shift
  • Carrying out final inspection of components
  • Packaging finished parts ready for dispatch
  • Maintaining quality and safety standards

To be considered for this Laser Operator / CNC Laser Operator role, you should have:

  • Previous experience operating laser cutting machines or CNC machines
  • A background in engineering, manufacturing, or sheet metal fabrication
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Trumpf Laser Operator experience
  • Forklift licence
