HSL Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Laser Operator / CNC Laser Operator to join an award-winning sheet metal manufacturing company based in Nuneaton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, family-run engineering business that specialises in high-quality laser cutting and fabrication services using state-of-the-art equipment.
If you have experience operating laser cutting machines, CNC machines, or working within a sheet metal / engineering environment, we would love to hear from you.
You will work a weekly rotating shift pattern (40 hours per week):
- Morning Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm
- Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am
As a Laser Machine Operator, your duties will include:
- Setting and operating CNC laser cutting machines
- Operating 2-Axis and Flatbed Laser Machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Performing basic machine maintenance and cleaning each shift
- Carrying out final inspection of components
- Packaging finished parts ready for dispatch
- Maintaining quality and safety standards
To be considered for this Laser Operator / CNC Laser Operator role, you should have:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines or CNC machines
- A background in engineering, manufacturing, or sheet metal fabrication
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Desirable (but not essential):
- Trumpf Laser Operator experience
- Forklift licence
Training may be provided for the right candidate with the relevant manufacturing or engineering background.
