We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver.

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-conscious driver who takes pride in delivering outstanding service and has experience operating HIAB equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
  • Deliver goods to customer sites in a safe and timely manner.
  • Load and unload vehicles when required.
  • Secure loads correctly using ratchet straps and other approved load restraint methods.
  • Operate a HIAB crane to safely load and unload materials.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
  • Follow all road transport, health and safety, and company procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • ALLMI HIAB qualification (must be current).
  • Proven experience using ratchet straps and securing loads safely.
  • Experience with loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations.
  • A positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Previous experience delivering building materials or similar products.
  • Forklift experience (advantageous but not essential).
