Working closely alongside the Head of HR Operations and our wider HR team, you will be a vital pillar in delivering an efficient, compliant, and responsive service to our workforce. This is a dynamic administrative role where you will act as the first point of contact for internal queries, manage essential onboarding workflows, keep employee databases meticulously up to date, and collaborate directly with Payroll to ensure accuracy across the board.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as the helpful primary point of contact for general HR queries from employees and managers across the group.
- Draft employment contracts, offer letters, and contractual amendments.
- Coordinate the processing of new starters, internal transfers, and leavers.
- Lead pre-employment screening processes, including coordinating enhanced DBS checks and standard vetting.
- Ensure all new starters have a smooth, welcoming, and compliant induction.
- Maintain accurate, real-time employee records and HR databases while managing archiving systems in strict alignment with GDPR and company requirements.
- Support internal payroll processes by ensuring all employee information, variations, and pay amendments are submitted accurately before strict monthly cut-offs.
- Administer employee training programmes, track mandatory learning requirements, issue training certificates, and support line managers with compliance tracking.
- Support the wider HR department with ad-hoc projects and change initiatives designed to optimise the overall employee experience.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in an HR or people-focused administration role.
- Experience using HR systems and employee databases.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
