Base pay range
Location: Batley
Salary: £13-£14 per hour dependant on experience
Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon-Thurs)
We are looking for a quality control inspector to join our manufacturing team. Do you have an outstanding eye for detail and a background in upholstery? Then this opportunity could be the perfect fit.

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for the inspection of all items produced within manufacturing to ensure that all products meet and perform according to established criteria to the highest possible standards and achieve the highest rate of success.
Ideally with an upholstery background, will assist in supporting the manufacturing processes to create and maintain the highest standards of operations and to enhance production output and ensure an efficient and timely factory. There is an expectation that when needed some overtime will be worked in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Detailed inspection of all items produced by HSL Manufacturing.
- Familiarising with all product types and demonstrating product knowledge.
- Ensuring all finished products meet quality and safety standards specified in the HSL QA documents before dispatch.
- Logging and reporting faults/pass rates using approved HSL documents.
- Assisting management in analysing and evaluating fault rates.
- Working with management to identify repeat issues and participate in resolving issues.
- Play an active part in the ongoing development of the quality management system.
- Liaising with the production team to ensure all identified faults are rectified to an acceptable standard.
- Ensuring all relevant Compliance and Quality tags / labels are attached to products before dispatch.
- Assisting the team by investigating relevant customer complaints and returns.
- Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained throughout work area.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures (safety, regulatory, etc).
