Are you an experienced leader in the pharmaceutical or healthcare insight space with a passion for data-driven innovation? We're seeking a Business Unit Director to lead our Healthcare Solutions division – a £5–10m revenue business at the heart of HSJ Information's strategic transformation.
About HSJ Information
Recently acquired by Inspirit Capital and under the leadership of CEO Andy Baker, HSJ Information is reshaping its structure to drive growth and clarity across three core business units. HSJ Information is trusted by NHS leaders and industry partners because no one understands the NHS better. Our Healthcare Solutions team supports life sciences organisations in engaging effectively with the NHS through offerings including Specialist Share Data, real-world evidence tools like Quantis, SaaS platforms, and strategic advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Healthcare Solutions business unit with full P&L responsibility
- Oversee a cross-functional team of 30 across Sales, Data, Delivery, and Advisory
- Drive product development and growth, particularly for Specialist Share Data
- Build and maintain relationships with major pharmaceutical and medtech clients
- Collaborate with internal teams across brand, tech, operations, and HR
- Contribute to strategic decisions as part of the Senior Leadership Team
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in the pharmaceutical sector or in B2B services selling into pharma
- Understanding of NHS dynamics and engagement strategies
- Demonstrated P&L leadership and cross-functional team management
- Proven success in client-facing roles, including contract negotiation and account planning
- Experience with data- and insight-led product environments
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous exposure to fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally within a private equity setting
