HSG is a content and production company looking for an exceptional Lead Producer to join the business at an exciting point in our evolution.

This is a new kind of role: you’ll combine senior production acumen with superb client management and servicing.

It is made for someone who loves turning ambitious ideas into exceptional content, combining creative judgement with brilliant execution, and moving seamlessly from developing a client's vision to delivering work that exceeds expectations.

We help our clients become media companies.

Our work spans everything from founder films and launch campaigns to long-form You Tube shows, documentaries, podcasts, newsletters and always-on content engines.

We work with investors and fast-growth technology companies around the world.

Our clients range from some of the world’s largest asset managers to pre-launch medtech, defence and quantum startups.

You'll own the production and delivery of a portfolio of client work from concept to completion.

Sometimes that means taking an initial brief and turning it into something better.

Sometimes it means helping clients work out what they should produce in the first place.

You'll work closely with clients, the HSG team, freelancers and the wider Basis Group, ensuring projects run brilliantly while constantly raising the creative standard of everything we produce.

This is a hands-on role.

You'll spend time on set, in edit reviews, in creative workshops, on client calls and solving production challenges before anyone else even realises they exist.

You'll report to the Client Director, working closely with both the client and production teams.

HSG has a friendly, ambitious culture: everyone rolls their sleeves up and contributes.

Key responsibilities

  • Producing outstanding content from idea through to delivery across video, podcasts, written content and campaigns.
  • Acting as the day-to-day lead across a portfolio of client projects, ensuring excellent communication, organisation and delivery at every stage; from concept to last-mile distribution.
  • Helping clients develop ideas worth making, turning broad objectives into clear creative concepts that serve business goals.
  • Managing productions of varying scales, including scheduling, logistics, budgets, freelancers and suppliers.
  • Leading creative development before production, and maintaining quality throughout filming, editing and delivery.
  • Keeping multiple productions moving simultaneously while maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Working closely with editors, videographers, designers, writers and external production partners.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve how clients use content and spotting ideas they haven't yet considered.
  • Supporting pitches, proposals and creative treatments for both new and existing clients.
  • Continuously improving production workflows, documentation and quality control across the business.
  • Helping less experienced team members develop their production skills and creative judgement.

About you You've probably spent

5+ years producing content professionally.

Your background could include

  • production companies
  • television
  • branded content
  • creator businesses
  • You Tube
  • agencies
  • in-house media teams
  • and your own successful productions

You instinctively think in stories.

You know how to take an idea from a blank page through scripting, filming, editing and distribution. This means you can write and edit.

You've run productions yourself and understand what \"good\" looks like both creatively and operationally.

You're comfortable speaking directly with clients and senior stakeholders, helping shape ideas rather than simply taking orders.

You love solving production problems.

You remain calm under pressure.

Nothing falls through the cracks.

You're naturally curious about what's working in media.

Whether it's You Tube, documentaries, podcasts, social formats or creator businesses, you're constantly studying why certain content succeeds and others don't.

You're excited by AI and automation – not because they're fashionable, but because they already help you produce better work faster.

You combine excellent creative instincts with outstanding organisation.

You care about details.

You care about quality.

You care about making things people genuinely want to watch.

Experience managing complex client relationships is desirable, but we're more interested in your ability to build trust than your job title.

Knowledge of B2B marketing is useful, but storytelling and production expertise come first. We'd especially love to meet you if:

  • You've produced You Tube channels, documentaries or podcasts.
  • You've worked with founders or senior executives on thought leadership.
  • You've managed productions involving multiple stakeholders.
  • You've built production systems rather than simply following them.
  • You get excited about both cameras and strategy.
  • You can spot a weak creative idea before anyone spends money making it.
  • Details
  • Salary negotiable depending on experience
  • Flexible hybrid working from our London office
  • Unlimited holiday
  • Healthcare
  • Pension scheme
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Profit pool share
