The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and adaptable Electrician to join our expanding team at HSEnergy Group Ltd.
This hybrid role is perfect for someone with a background in domestic or commercial electrical systems for renewable technologies like solar PV, battery storage, and EV chargers.
The role combines traditional electrical work with renewable energy installations and post-installation support, offering a diverse range of daily tasks and long-term growth potential within a forward-thinking and purpose-driven company.
Based out of our Sussex headquarters, your work will primarily cover the South East, with occasional travel to sites outside the region.
In this role, you will play a key part in carrying out renewable energy system installations as well as general electrical work, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Carry out general electrical work across domestic and small commercial settings (e. g. rewires, consumer unit upgrades, fault finding)
• Install and commission renewable systems
- Solar PV
- Battery storage
- EV charging systems
- Assist with fault diagnosis and remedial work on existing installations
- Support post-installation technical queries from the office 1–2 days per week, subject to confirmation
- Maintain high safety standards and work in line with 18th Edition wiring regulations
- Complete system testing and certification; carry out periodic inspections and maintenance where required
- System commissioning
- Ensure a clean, safe and compliant working environment on all site
Qualifications and Requirements
- 18th Edition Electrical Certification (Required)
- Level 3 2365 Diploma
- Level 3 NVQ Electrical installations
- Full UK Driving Licence (Required)
- Proven experience in domestic electrical installations and maintenance
- Good understanding of electrical principles and ability to diagnose and solve faults
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Effective communicator with clients, colleagues, and site personnel
- Safety-first mindset and working knowledge of H&S regulations
Desirable Skills & Expertise
- Experience in solar PV, battery storage, or EV charger installations
- Familiarity with key renewable brands (e. g. Solis, ECO Flow, FOX ESS, Tesla, Sofar)
- Working at Height & Manual Handling training
- ECS/CSCS Card or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
