HSE Recruitment Network is working with a manufacturing business in Rotherham to find an HSE Advisor. The role reports to the HSEQ Manager and works alongside a team of five across multiple sites. The site is a relatively new facility with about 100 staff. The position is based at Rotherham with occasional travel to site projects once a month.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of HSE management systems, processes and procedures, including occupational hygiene controls and standards.
  • Review the effectiveness of and compliance with HSE management systems, conduct and review risk assessments, including the effectiveness of current control measures.
  • Assist in the organisation and provision of HSE training.
  • Drive and improve workplace behaviour and culture, including shop‑floor leadership and supervisory practices.
  • Own the HSE roadmap for the year, focusing on improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an HSE Advisor within a manufacturing business.
  • NEBOSH Certificate level qualifications.
  • Trained internal auditor and/or environmental qualification desirable.
  • Comfortable communicating and influencing orally and in writing at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and decision‑making skills.
  • Innovative, lateral thinker who can deliver against agreed targets and timelines.
  • Mature, pragmatic, resilient, driven, determined, self‑motivated, confident and assertive.

Salary

Up to £45,000 DOE.
