HSE Recruitment Network have partnered with a manufacturing business in Stoke on Trent to find them a new HSE Coordinator.
This role would be ideal for someone with a few years of Health and Safety experience who wants ownership of their own site, whilst working under a supportive MD and senior leadership team. This is a hands on, shop floor focused role that is not just about maintaining the status quo, but about continuous improvement.
The business has a strong safety culture demonstrated by their ROSPA Awards, ISO 45001 accreditation and industry specific safety commitments. There is so much potential for the right person, if you come in with a positive hard working attitude there are clear progression and mentoring opportunities.
The site itself has all the risks that you would expect to see in a manufacturing site; movement of goods/ FLTs, racking and storage, manual handling, gas, heat, chemicals, machinery and a maintenance workshops.
This is a site based role but does come with a 1.30pm finish on a Friday.
What we are looking for:
- Hard working, positive attitude, engaging and able to be influence
- Someone comfortable being on the shop floor
- Someone inquisitive, passionate, who shows they care
- Firm but fair, confident to challenge the SLT, supervisors and shop floor staff
- Hold a NEBOSH Certificate level qualification with a couple of years in a similar level HSE Advisor, coordinator or officer role
- Experience working in manufacturing would be ideal and if you've come through the shop floor that would be advantageous.
Salary range is Β£40,000-45,000 DOE
The interview process will be two stages, both in person, starting in early October.
