Vacancy: Health, Safety and Environment Manager
Company: Established and impressive food manufacturing business (FMCG)
Salary: Β£60,000 per annum β Β£75,000 per annum DOE + up to Β£11,050 per annum car allowance, max Β£7,800 bonus and impressive wider benefits available.
Overview of the position:
- Understand and drive current company Health, Safety and Environmental values and encourage key stakeholders to go above standard compliance & continuously improve.
- Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification and coach, mentor and train the management team to take ownership.
- Coach and mentor a team of 2 SHE professionals who would sit in this site-based SHE team.
- Support and manage the onsite security team working closely to ensure compliance and ensuring the integrity of the site.
- Assess their current SHE needs, prioritise projects and look ahead for potential future challenges, and opportunities for the site to evolve and progress.
- Support implementation of the Environmental Management System.
- Develop and continuously improve site SHE programmes to deliver compliance and performance improvement.
- Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement.
- Confidently engage with external stakeholders and build long term, positive relationships.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior SHE Management experience and coaching and mentoring of direct reports.
- Able to support the site strategically and also be hands on.
- Fast paced, general manufacturing experience but ideally from a food or beverage company.
Ideal personality traits:
- Self-motivated, confident person with a positive outlook.
- Strategic thinker but still able to be hands on.
- Change agent who can inspire, engage, and empower others and drive accountability/ownership to the factory leaders.
- Able to collaborate, influence, gain buy-in with strong communication skills.
