HSE Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company in Chesterfield who are looking for a Health and Safety Manager
This is a single site, stand alone position reporting into the plant manager. The role will focus on challenging behaviours and getting to the root cause of the performance to then focus on a turnaround project. You’ll have the support and backing of the plant manager as well as at a central group level to implement group strategy at a site level. This is a very hands on, shop floor focused role, working closely with the site’s management team, acting as the subject matter expert on Health and Safety matters to ensure the company not only complies with its statutory obligations but helps to promote safety working for everyone.
What we are looking for :–
- NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum (or equivalent)
- Background in heavy manufacturing, engineering or production.
- Experience developing and changing the culture and performance of health and safety within a business in an advisor or manager position.
- Someone self motived, engaging, resilient and persistent.
