An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group QHSE & Sustainability Director to lead and drive health, safety, quality, and environmental performance across a complex and growing organisation. This role will play a key part in shaping the company’s strategic approach while maintaining a hands-on presence to ensure a strong safety culture.
As the Group QHSE & Sustainability Director, you will:
- Develop and lead the organisation’s QHSE & Sustainability strategy, working closely with senior leadership.
- Manage a team of specialists across Health & Safety, Quality, Environment, and Transport Compliance.
- Embed a people-first safety culture, ensuring health, safety, and sustainability are at the core of operations.
- Oversee compliance, risk management, accreditations, and ISO Integrated Management Systems.
- Use data-driven insights to influence decision-making and implement best practice safety initiatives.
- Manage national travel, supporting various sites and operations across the UK.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven leadership experience in QHSE & Sustainability at a senior level, ideally within facilities management, security, or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of ISO Integrated Management Systems and compliance frameworks.
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
- The ability to influence, engage, and drive cultural change at all levels of an organisation.
- Recognised Health, Safety & Environmental Management qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma, CMIOSH, IEMA).
- Experience managing large, remote teams across multiple sites.
