Location: North Scotland
Seeking a Group / Regional/ Multisite Health and Safety (H&S) Manager to support a large cluster of high-risk facilities in the North of Scotland on behalf of an impressive and diverse production company, who has global reach. This is an exciting opportunity to support the business going through a period of transformation and enhancement. A permanent position, which will include site standardisation across the group as well as having exposure to a wide variety of projects, such as site expansions, technology improvements and leading HS&E on large scale CAPEX projects, liaising with other departments like Engineering and Production. Additionally, leading cultural change and taking them on a collective maturity journey.
Internally, the right culture fit is crucial for this organisation, seeking a confident candidate who is credible, empowering, positive and engaging to drive H&S forward and ensure that the organisation is fit for the future. This is an essential role for the business and will have direct impact on the sites. The successful individual will sit on the leadership team and be very well supported by the H&S Director, Site Director, wider H&S team and Operations. They will be the subject matter expert for Health and Safety and a visible and approachable leader across the multiple facilities across the region, directly influencing the direction of Safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Run a detailed analysis and site review across the facilities, ensuring gaps are closed
- Produce a functional and clear localised H&S roadmap in line with Group standards
- Support and guide the sites, taking them on a cultural journey towards interdependency
- Educate, train and drive accountability for HSE across the sites
- Ensure all H&S is paramount across the current and upcoming projects
- Coach and mentor direct reports, to educate and empower the sites to take accountability for H&S.
- Diploma level qualified in H&S such as NEBOSH, NVQ Level 5/6, IOSH Level
- High risk background with experience with Process Safety and managing COMAH facilities (including manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, oil and gas, chemical)
- Prior experience at this senior level of H&S
- Prior cultural change experience
