Overview

This is a strategic regional Fire Safety Manager role supporting hotels across EMEAA. The position sits within the Health, Safety & Environment team and acts as the subject matter expert for fire safety, providing guidance, assurance, training, and technical support across a large and diverse portfolio of hotel properties. The role is heavily focused on developing frameworks, standards, tools, and training materials while supporting regional teams with fire safety due diligence, risk assessments, and complex technical queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide fire safety expertise and support to regional hotel and development teams across EMEAA.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex fire safety queries and technical challenges.
  • Support fire safety due diligence for new hotel acquisitions and developments.
  • Review building plans and advise on compliance with company standards and local regulations.
  • Develop and maintain fire safety frameworks, tools, guidance documents, and training materials.
  • Deliver training and upskill regional teams to improve internal fire safety capability.
  • Support hotel assurance programmes and strategic fire safety initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with regional stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor across the business.
  • Reduce reliance on external consultants by increasing in-house fire safety knowledge and capability.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience preferred (although not essential) in fire safety within property, estates, facilities management, hospitality, healthcare, local authority, consultancy, or similar building-related environments.
  • We are particularly interested in individuals who:
    • Have broad fire safety experience across complex buildings or property portfolios.
    • Can operate strategically and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
    • Have experience interpreting fire safety legislation, standards, and codes.
    • Have experience in, or are willing to learn and work across different international regulations and code.
    • Possess credibility and confidence when advising senior stakeholders and regional teams.
    • Can balance technical expertise with a pragmatic, business-focused approach.

Working Arrangements & Travel

Hybrid working with flexibility around office attendance. Typical working hours are 9am–5pm, although occasional early morning or out-of-hours calls may be required to support international stakeholders, it's flexible. This is not a heavily travel-focused role.

Team Structure

The successful candidate will report to Global HSSE Manager and work closely with regional HSE colleagues, Regional Directors, development teams, data analysts, and operational stakeholders across EMEAA. There is significant support available within the wider HSE and fire safety network.
