We also advise on topics including wealth planning, alternative investments and family governance. As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. We are seeking a Private Banker to help us develop and grow our Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) business in London.
In this role as Relationship Manager, you will maintain and grow profitable long-term relationships principally with UK resident UHNW clients, but you will also have the opportunity to acquire and develop new business relationships. The role holder will be based in the Mayfair office, but there will be additional travel to attend client and prospect meetings.
In this role you will:
- Maintain a book of existing client relationships as well as targeting new business, originating target market clients focused on investment AUM, lending and Advisory services from own network.
- Identify and convert referral opportunities through the Group network.
- Grow revenues across allocated portfolio, successfully manage and serve existing business relationships and originate new revenue streams.
- Grow HSBC’s share of client wallet involving product specialists to ensure product capabilities are in line with UHNW client requirements.
- Establish and maintain networks for cooperation with other HSBC businesses, to support the creation of solutions to customer needs that span geographical/product boundaries and regulatory environments.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Level 4 qualification (CISI/RDR or equivalent) is essential, but with the expectation of becoming Level 6 qualified within 12 months.
- Experience of providing regulated advice to HNW or UHNW clients within a Private Banking environment - essential.
- Demonstrable track record of client portfolio management is essential, and new client acquisition experience within our target segment is desirable.
- Deep understanding of financial markets and complex wealth management solutions as applicable to the target client segment including lending solutions.
- Track record of building successful relationships with both an internal and external referral network is essential.
