Role Purpose

Analytics, Digital & Architecture (ADA), within Global Finance, is a Centre of Excellence responsible for shaping the future of financial analytics and engineering, driving innovation, and delivering insights that support strategic decision-making. The ADA team develops high-quality models, analytics capabilities, and innovative solutions, ensuring seamless deployment, best practices in Model Governance, and ongoing monitoring. The team also supports business and technical architecture developments. We are seeking a Financial Engineer to support these initiatives, working closely with modelling teams to understand and implement models efficiently and scalably, supporting CI/CD pipelines, testing, and business-as-usual operations.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with modelling teams to understand models in detail.
  • Support model development within software engineering standards.
  • Ensure models are efficient and scalable.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for stable deployments.
  • Assist with testing and BAU support during model delivery.
  • Automate and streamline software development processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of software engineering best practices, cloud technologies, and financial markets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Software Engineering: Experience in designing, developing, and deploying software applications. Understanding of SDLC methodologies. Proficiency in Python, including web frameworks. Experience with APIs, microservices, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes. Experience with large data processing and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP). Familiarity with C++ is a plus.
  • Data & Analytics: Data manipulation and analysis skills.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Ability to troubleshoot, develop solutions, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of financial markets and products is advantageous.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages is a plus.
