Our technology team builds innovative digital solutions rapidly and at scale to deliver the next generation of banking services for our customers around the world. You’ll be helping us be digital-first when developing new products and services, as well as enhancing existing ones by providing software development and support to each of our Global Businesses and Global Functions.

Using best-in-class technologies, you’ll deliver end-to-end execution of all technology services consumed across the HSBC landscape, including change programmes and applications in production.

In this role, you will:

  • Define the strategy and vision for different Email client-side products, e.g. Microsoft Outlook (including Windows, MAC, iOS, Android), Microsoft Exchange On-Prem, Microsoft Exchange Online, HCL Domino, Outlook on the Web, HCL Notes.
  • Engage with Business Stakeholders at all levels up to C-suite, to understand their requirements.
  • Lead the deployments and adoption of new products and components, working closely with global, regional, and business leadership and stakeholders.
  • Integrate into a team that performs sustainable continuous improvement, identifying and removing organisational barriers affecting the team, processes and products owned.
  • Showcase and demonstrate new products, in conjunction with the CTO Colleague and Collaboration leadership teams.
  • Own and maintain product roadmaps, in collaboration with each individual product area and develop innovative ways to introduce the product using concepts from marketing and branding.
  • Create eye-catching content, be bold and brave in trying out new ideas, colors, concepts and have the ability to use in-house social media channels to promote campaigns.
  • Develop communication and reporting strategy, coordinate between project teams for progress reviews, key decisions, documentation and approvals.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Significant experience and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply, using presentations and other communication artefacts within a large-scale enterprise level organisation.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical issues concisely.
  • Fluent in Email client-side technologies, e.g. Microsoft Outlook (including Windows, MAC, iOS, Android), Outlook on the Web, HCL Notes, etc.
  • Familiar with Email server-side technologies, e.g. Microsoft Exchange On-Prem, Microsoft Exchange Online, HCL Domino, etc.
  • Experience working with Regulators, Compliance functions, and legal teams is desired.
  • Knowledge and experience of using agile delivery methods and tools.
  • Commercially astute, ability to balance and assess risk vs. reward.
  • Good leadership skills.
